Introduction

This article is meant to clarify all costs and fees associated with Oasis.app products and features.

For each product, you can see what you pay in fees and costs, in detail. There are three main items for each product:

“You pay” shows your total costs to use the product. This includes the next two items, and is meant to summarize all direct and indirect costs related to the usage of the product.

“Oasis.app fees” is the amount we charge for the usage of the product.

“Variable annual fee” is a fee that accrues over time for your usage of the underlying Maker Vault. This is charged by MakerDAO, its value depends on the Vault type, and it works by accruing Dai debt in your vault at the specified annual rate. You can read more about this fee in the Maker Protocol documentation for Stability Fees.

Oasis Borrow

For standard Borrow Vaults, there are no Oasis.app fees charged. However, if you decide to set up automation features (Auto-Buy, Auto-Sell, or Stop-Loss), Multiply actions are used in the background, so there will be additional fees. For more information, read the corresponding sections of this article.

  • You pay: Transaction gas costs (in ETH), Variable Annual Fee (in Dai, added to your Vault’s debt over time)
  • Oasis.app fees: No fees.
  • Variable Annual Fee: Depending on Vault type.

For more information about Borrow Vaults, see here.

Oasis Multiply

Multiply Vaults are based on Borrow Vaults. All standard Borrow actions are charged no fees, while Multiply actions (open Vault, adjust multiple, close Vault) pay 0.2% of the required swap.

  • You pay: Transaction gas costs (in ETH), Oasis.app fees (in Dai), Variable Annual Fee (in Dai, added to your Vault’s debt over time)
  • Oasis.app fees: 0.2% of the required swap for the desired action.
  • Variable Annual Fee: Depending on Vault type.

For more information about Multiply Vaults, see here.

Oasis Earn

Earn charges a 0.04% fee on all swaps for stablecoin Vaults and G-UNI Multiply requires 2 swaps, one for setting up the Vault position and one for closing, however the closing fee is waived at the moment.

  • You pay: Transaction gas costs (in ETH), Oasis.app fees (in Dai), Variable Annual Fee (in Dai, added to your Vault’s debt over time)
  • Oasis.app fees: 0.04% of the required swap to set up the Vault.
  • Variable Annual Fee: Depending on Vault type: 0.01% for GUNIV3DAIUSDC1-A, 0.05% for GUNIV3DAIUSDC2-A. Keep in mind that these values apply for the whole Vault’s debt, and not your deposited Dai.

For more information about Earn, see here.

Stop-Loss protection

This feature is set up by the user and triggered by a Keeper. Both transactions incur in gas costs, and both are paid by the user, in different denominations.

When you set up your Vault protection, a transaction is sent from your account, and gas costs are paid in ETH. If the protection is triggered at some point, the Close Vault action is executed by a Keeper account, and will deduct the gas costs from your Vault's balance, in Dai.

As the Close Vault action is a Multiply Vault action, the Oasis.app fee for Multiply actions is charged.

  • You pay: Transaction gas costs for setting up protection (in ETH), Transaction gas costs on protection trigger (in Dai), Oasis.app fees (in Dai)
  • Oasis.app fees: 0.2% of the required swap for the Vault closing action

For more information about Stop-Loss protection, see here.

Auto-Buy and Auto-Sell features

Auto-Buy and Auto-Sell features are automated tools to modify your Vault’s multiple factor based on a price trigger. The fees and costs structure is similar to Stop-Loss protection.

  • You pay: Transaction gas costs for setting up protection (in ETH), Transaction gas costs on Auto-Buy/Auto-Sell trigger (in Dai), Oasis.app fees (in Dai)
  • Oasis.app fees: 0.2% of the required swap for the adjust multiple action

For more information about Auto-Buy and Auto-Sell, see here.

Notes

All network transaction gas costs are paid in ETH by the account initiating the transaction. This can be your account or a Keeper account for Vault automation processes.

In the cases where the transaction is initiated by the Keeper, the gas cost spent is refunded from your balance, so you end up paying for the transaction costs.
